Initially called “Rouge de Bruxelles 8”, due to its 8% alcohol rate, this beer was created in 2014 following a specific request from one of our importers, who was looking for a strong fruity beer to conquer a growing market. Two years later, following a new law in the target country, the recipe had to be modified, as the alcohol level for fruity, sweet beers could not exceed 7.5%.
The recipe was redesigned to obtain a beer with an alcohol level of 7%; this is how the beer became “Rouge de Bruxelles”.
