Rouge de Bruxelles

7% Alc.

A strong red beer

Rouge de Bruxelles offers a beautiful purple color and is brewed from a blend of the best malts and soft wheats. Its fruity aromas combine elegantly with the flavors of ripe cherry. Such an exciting and generous beer could only be called Rouge, and proudly bear the colors of the city of its heart, Brussels.

Anecdote

Initially called “Rouge de Bruxelles 8”, due to its 8% alcohol rate, this beer was created in 2014 following a specific request from one of our importers, who was looking for a strong fruity beer to conquer a growing market. Two years later, following a new law in the target country, the recipe had to be modified, as the alcohol level for fruity, sweet beers could not exceed 7.5%.

The recipe was redesigned to obtain a beer with an alcohol level of 7%; this is how the beer became “Rouge de Bruxelles”.
